A hallmark of this Government is stirring up hostility against particular groups, then introducing legislation to attack those groups, and more. The Police Bill and the Nationality and Borders Bill scapegoat Gypsies, Roma, Travellers and migrants. These bills attack freedom of movement between countries and within Britain. We need to counter them!

Speakers

Jake Bowers, Romany activist, writer, broadcaster, who will speak about threats to Gypsy, Roma, Traveller rights that are contained in the new Police, Courts and Sentencing Bill.

Pamela Fitzpatrick, the Director of Harrow Law Centre, who will describe the key aspects of this Bill and especially its threat against the right to protest.

Dave Landau, member of the JSG National Committee and longstanding activist for migrant and refugee rights, who will examine how the Police Bill intersects with the Hostile Environment and Priti Patel's latest plans regarding immigration and asylum.
