Antisemitic ambulance attack

The arson attack, which has destroyed four community ambulances in Golders Green in the early hours of this morning, is a frightening intensification of the growing expressions of antisemitism we are seeing online, in the streets, and from certain lofty political realms.

These ambulances belong to a Jewish organisation called Hatzola, which means help or aid. That's what they do: save lives by providing transport to hospital for whoever needs it, Jewish or non-Jewish.

The Jewish Socialists’ group condemns people who blow up ambulances, endangering a synagogue nearby and in a location surrounded by ordinary people living ordinary lives in ordinary homes.

And we also condemn those who are now using this appalling incident to whip up more hatred between minority communities that are being targeted by racists.

This should  make us even more determined to take a united stand against all racism from whichever quarter.
